About Us
Friends of Taawon US is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to empowering vulnerable Palestinian communities and promoting sustainable development across Palestine and Lebanon. As the American partner of Taawon, one of the oldest and largest Palestinian organizations with over 40 years of experience, Taawon US connects American donors with essential humanitarian and development projects that improve lives and build hope.
Our mission is to provide financial assistance to projects and programs in Palestine and Lebanon to promote education, orphan care, community development, cultural preservation, and resilience. We address human development needs for Palestinian families, especially for women, children, and orphans—while fostering self-reliance and preserving the rich cultural heritage of Palestine. We believe in sustainable change driven by community-led initiatives that restore dignity and opportunity.
Our Programs
Noor Orphan Program: Providing vital care, education, and support for orphaned children to help them thrive despite difficult circumstances.
ISNAD Program: Help Gaza’s students resume their university education and help the universities that have been destroyed rebuild.
Emergency Relief: Thousands of families have been displaced and are surviving without basic necessities. You have the power to make an immediate impact by providing critical relief and support the resilience of the people of Gaza.
Gaza Mobile Clinics: Delivering critical healthcare services directly to underserved and hard-to-reach communities in Gaza, including medical and mental health care.
In addition to these, we support a broad range of programs for community development, restoration of heritage, and preservation of Palestinian cultural identity.
Our Commitment
Every project supported by Friends of Taawon US meets rigorous standards for transparency, accountability, and non-partisanship, reflecting our responsibility as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Through the generosity of our donors and partners, we serve as a vital bridge connecting compassionate Americans to impactful efforts that foster resilience and hope for Palestinians facing ongoing challenges.
Join us in building a more just and hopeful future. Together, we can make a difference.
